The collective book club of sexpositive.gr is entering its third year!

We began this journey in the fall of 2022 with the book that has been loved like few others in polyamorous communities around the world, Polysecure: Attachment, Trauma and Consensual Nonmonogamy by psychotherapist Jessica Fern.

We continued last year with “Relationship Anarchy: Occupy Intimacy!” by Juan Carlos Pérez Cortés and are preparing from October to enter our third year with the first Greek-language book on polyamory: “Monogamous Thought, Polyamorous Terror”” by Brigitte Vasallo .

Now that it is autumn, it is an opportunity to meet again, to get to know new people, to discuss what is on our minds, to dive into new knowledge on our favourite topics and to enjoy the joy of collective reading. So let’s start with the first Greek-language book on polyamory!

First meeting Tuesday 8/10 at 20:00

Brigitte Vasallo’s bastard essay entitled “Monogamous Mind, Polyamorous Terror” seeks to shake up the dominant relational grid.
This book is an investigation that touches on the centrality of monogamy as a system of social organization and enforcement – a system that starts from the couple and reaches up to the nation-state, touchng even activist groups, with a horizon of polyamory and liberation of emotions:

“Become ungovernable, not another emotional corpse in our lives, both private and collective. The master’s tools will never dismantle the master’s house. We have other tools because we are made of a different paste. We must end this collective fantasy once and for all. We have to take the last step, to cut the last bond, to escape the influence of the desire centers, to get out of the margins, to live in another, even more distant one… and start to build something truly different.”
